Zamboni Operator -Winter Seasonal Job Description
Job Summary:
The Zamboni Operator is responsible for maintaining the Big Mine Ice Arena and surrounding areas including operating the Zamboni ice resurfacer, snow shoveling, ice removal, and light custodial duties. Work schedule includes evenings, weekends and holidays.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate the Zamboni ice resurfacer
Shovel snow and remove ice in and around Big Mine Ice Arena
Repair and maintain ice rink fixtures and equipment
Light custodial duties including cleaning of hockey changing rooms
General trash and recycling removal
Assist with other Parks tasks as assigned
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of:
Zamboni operations
Related safety practices and procedures
Skill in:
Ensuring safe and proper use of equipment
Ensuring safe and proper lifting techniques
Working autonomously in standard work situations
Mechanical repair and maintenance
Positive interactions with the public
Minimum Job Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License upon being hired or possess a valid Driver’s License and obtain a valid Colorado Driver’s License within thirty (30) days of employment.
Previous experience desired.
Background Investigation:
